I have found the most enjoyable time of the year in San Miguel de Allende to be during the month of July. May and June seem to extremely hot with not much rain to cool it off. July, however, on the times when I have been in San Miguel, always sees to have a beautiful afternoon rain lasting for about 30 minutes. It cools everything and cleans everything. I'll never forget the first time I was in San Miguel as a Spanish student at "the Academia" for one month...July. Every afternoon during class the hardest rain would pour down from the sky for about 30 minutes or so. Class would end and we would all walk to a popular coffee spot for a nice cold coffee to enjoy.
